Full responsibility for general ledger accounting
Ensure proper period closings, including journal entries, reconciliations and accruals
Handle and support VAT, banking and treasury matters
Maintain and reconcile general ledger and subledger accounts
Close collaboration with Tax, Controlling, auditors, banks and internal departments
Point of contact for technical queries and coordination-related matters
Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives within Accounting
Support the development and refinement of accounting policies and processes

Requirements

Completed commercial vocational training (ideally with additional qualification as a Bilanzbuchhalter) or a degree in economics, business administration, or a comparable qualification with a focus on accounting/finance
Several years of professional experience (minimum 4 years) in accounting, ideally in a comparable role
Solid knowledge in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements under HGB (German Commercial Code)
Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel, and experienced with ERP systems and accounting software
Analytical and structured working style with strong numerical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Self-initiative, sense of responsibility and a reliable, meticulous work approach
Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken
