About the role
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in compliance with company policies and legal requirements
- Process HR paperwork, including new hire documentation, status changes, and terminations
- Generate standard HR reports (e.g., headcount, turnover)
- Assist with the onboarding process for new hires, including conducting background checks, preparing welcome packets, and coordinating first-day logistics
- Support the talent acquisition team by posting job descriptions, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates
- Ensure all Employee data is correctly stored and benefits reflect accurately
- Act as a first point of contact for basic employee questions regarding benefits, HR policies, and procedures
- Assist in coordinating company events, wellness programs, and employee recognition initiatives
- Help communicate HR policies and updates effectively to employees
- Assist in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Support the coordination of company-wide mandatory training programs
- Input and audit data within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) to ensure integrity and accuracy
Requirements
- 0–2 years of relevant experience in a Human Resources, administrative, or office management role
- A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Strong organizational and time management skills with keen attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Basic understanding of HR principles and employment laws is beneficial
- Experience with an HRIS system ADP is a plus
