About the role
- Lead electrical design for water and wastewater facilities, including substations, power distribution, standby power, lighting, OT networks, security, and controls
- Mentor junior staff and coordinate design activities for local and national clients
- Develop and deliver project proposals; manage budgets and delivery schedules; coordinate electrical design tasks
- Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, process-mechanical, HVAC, I&C/SCADA, and structural engineers to plan electrical systems
- Demonstrate proficiency in CAD (Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD) and electrical modeling (SKM, ETAP, EasyPower) and lighting software (ElumTools, Visual, Dialux); apply codes and design criteria; produce one-line diagrams, control schematics, plans, specs
- Provide construction support: review equipment submittals and shop drawings; respond to RFIs; conduct field inspections; oversee construction; QA/QC; safety compliance
- Knowledge of protection relays (SEL, GE Multilin); NEC and state codes; familiarity with Bluebeam, BIM360; mentoring
- Travel as needed to support project requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, a related discipline, or equivalent work experience
- 10 years of consulting experience in electrical engineering for water, wastewater, and industrial facility electrical design
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE)
