💰 $70,000 - $115,000 per year
About the role
- Involved in project tasks including design, analysis, and layout of substations, power distribution, standby power, lighting, OT networks, security and access control, equipment relay logic, fire alarm, and instrumentation and control systems
- Independently complete small/medium projects; provide support to senior engineers on larger projects; projects primarily in New York State with remote support for national teams
- Provide technical and design consulting on electrical power distribution, electrical controls, lighting, and communications for the Water Division
- Perform electrical design, calculations, develop one-line diagrams, control schematics, plans, and specifications; review submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs; conduct field inspections
- Travel may be required to support project needs
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience
- 6+ years of relevant experience
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to apply for PE exam and licensing
- Strong knowledge of NEC and electrical codes; experience with CAD software (Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD) and electrical modeling software (SKM, ETAP, EasyPower); familiarity with lighting software (ElumTools, Visual, Dialux)
