About the role
- Collaborate with local teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Support water and wastewater projects through planning, design, and construction phases
- Oversee the development of design calculations, technical reports, drawings, and specifications
- Ensure compliance with Arcadis quality health and safety standards
- Prepare reports and presentations
- Participate in client meetings
- Coordinate project timelines and budgets
- Supervise and mentor junior engineering and design staff
- Provide planning and design support for stormwater management, flood mitigation, green infrastructure, sewer systems, and related needs
- Prepare and review design calculations and drawings
- Engage with engineers from other disciplines to integrate stormwater, transportation, utility, and geotechnical concepts into projects
- Assist in identifying cost-effective and environmentally sound stormwater solutions
- Promote innovative technologies and research emerging practices to improve efficiency in assignments
- Travel may be required for site visits, client meetings, safety audits, or construction oversight based on project needs
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience in engineering with focus on stormwater management
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or related field of study
- NY PE license or ability to obtain one via reciprocity shortly after joining Arcadis
- 10 years of relevant water/wastewater experience is preferred.
- Master of Science/Engineering in Civil, Environmental Engineering or a related field of study is preferred.
- Experience in design or consulting engineering or Municipal work environment is preferred.
- Project leadership experience including managing overall project delivery expectations, prioritizing tasks, and mentoring is preferred.
- Client management experience, including preparation and development of proposals and client relationship building is preferred.
- Experience/training with AutoCAD and/or Revit is preferred.
- Active participation in regional and/or national professional association(s) is preferred.
