About the role
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration and project success, acting as a trusted advisor to guide them through the project lifecycle with confidence and expertise.
- Administer contracts for professional services and manage budgets to deliver successful financial outcomes for projects. Coordinate with legal, finance and commercial/risk teams to lead and deliver on project success.
- Proactively drive commercial results, ensuring projects meet profitability and resource efficiency targets
- Identify and manage project risks, ensuring compliance with contracts and mitigating potential challenges.
- Translate project objectives into actionable plans, including detailed schedules and financial targets.
- Working with the finance team, implement and oversee financial controls to track, manage, and forecast project performance.
- Manage multi-disciplinary teams by fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation, while mentoring and developing junior team members.
- Develop and execute comprehensive project management plans, ensuring high-quality delivery from concept to completion.
- Oversee all project phases, including design and construction documentation, while maintaining design integrity.
- Ensure clarity and consistency across projects by managing all correspondence, documentation, and reporting, while effectively communicating project challenges and collaborating with stakeholders to develop innovative solutions
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience working with Oracle as an ERP system, including demonstrated expertise in the Percentage of Completion (PoC) revenue recognition method.
- Familiarity with various project delivery methods and how they impact project management around scope, schedule, risk, communication, delivery, budgeting, etc.
- Familiarity with the process of design and construction of complex projects
- Experience in writing proposals and defining scope/project deliverables, developing bottom up and top-down fees, assessing project risk and managing contract negotiation processes
- Budgeting tools/project management software expertise. Familiar with Oracle project planning specifically is a plus. Ability to translate contract scope into discrete tasks and manage under a work breakdown schedule and project workplan.
- Ability to manage complex teams with multiple disciplines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills and client-facing experience is essential.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- 8+ years of project management experience. Specific project management experience in a design and professional services setting is preferred but not required.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 Practitioner certification is an asset but not required.
- Degree in architecture considered an asset.
