About the role

  • Interacting with internal and external stakeholders on civil design.
  • Interfacing with local jurisdictions regarding permitting and design plans.
  • Provide design support on Industrial Infrastructure and Transit and Freight Rail projects throughout North America.
  • Review regulations and standards to support technical studies, design, and permitting activities.
  • Use engineering and design software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, simulation models) to prepare analyses and documents.
  • Prepare Issued for Construction (IFC) plans, reports, specifications, and technical designs for civil/site and railroad projects.
  • Conduct site inspections and attend jurisdictional or client meetings; travel up to 15% within North America.

Requirements

  • EIT license required.
  • Natural or acquired U.S. citizenship.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
  • Experience in industrial and commercial infrastructure design, construction, permitting, and plans examination.
  • Proficiency with project/document management platforms such as Civil 3D, ACC, Procore, BIM360, ProjectWise.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio) and collaboration tools (MS Teams, SharePoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with Bluebeam Revu
  • Ability/experience in design detailing.
