About the role

  • The Senior Electrical Engineer will support projects and clients in the planning, design and construction of water/wastewater facilities and other similar industrial facilities, serving as Arcadis’ main point of contact with our clients for their electrical needs.
  • Development of project management skills including support in managing budgets and delivery schedules for each assignment; for project/task scope schedule and budget.
  • Establishing design criteria, performing design calculations, developing one-line diagrams, control schematics, plans and specifications.
  • Performing engineering services during construction, including reviewing equipment submittals, shop drawings and responding to contractor RFI’s (request for information).
  • Conducting field inspections, assisting projects in construction which includes identifying deviations from design, and monitoring safety compliance.
  • Some travel may be required to support project needs.

Requirements

  • Prior demonstrated consulting experience with water/wastewater and industrial facilities a must.
  • Experience using AutoCAD MEP (2D and 3D), Revit, SKM Power Tools, short circuit calculations, overcurrent coordination, and/or arc flash analysis, and photometric study.
  • Solid working knowledge of the National Electrical Code requirements.
  • Willingness and desire to mentor junior/staff electrical engineers.
  • Excellent customer/client service skills along with clear and concise, verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams effectively to complete projects on time and on budget.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE).
