About the role
- Lead and manage the design and delivery of water and wastewater pipeline projects
- Conduct feasibility studies, preliminary and final design
- Provide construction support
- Develop alignments and perform hydraulic calculations
- Prepare detailed design drawings and specifications
- Act as a technical point of contact for clients and attend meetings
- Support business development activities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and regulatory requirements
- Identify opportunities for process improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or mechanical engineering (or related discipline)
- 6-12 years of relevant experience in the design and delivery of water and/or wastewater pipeline projects
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in California, or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Proficiency with design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and hydraulic modeling tools (e.g., InfoWater, WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS)
- Strong technical writing, verbal communication, and organizational skills
- Proven experience coordinating with public agencies, utilities, and permitting authorities
