About the role

  • Support projects and clients in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater facilities, with a focus on electrical design and coordination across multiple projects.
  • Develop design criteria, perform calculations, and prepare one-line diagrams, control schematics, plans, and specifications.
  • Close collaboration with the Control Systems group and oversight during construction including reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, conducting field inspections, and ensuring QA/QC and safety compliance.
  • Perform or supervise power system analyses using tools such as ETAP or SKM, including arc flash hazard studies.
  • Some travel, primarily within Southern California (approximately 5–10%), is required to support project needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology, preferably with an emphasis on power.
  • 8-10 years minimum of relevant work experience
  • Fundamentals of Engineering / Engineer in Training certificate
  • Registered Professional Electrical Engineer in California or able to acquire via reciprocity from registration in another state in the USA.
  • Solid working knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
  • Basic understanding of AutoCAD.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project and Outlook).
