About the role
- support and grow our Water team in White Plains, NY
- deliver design work for water/wastewater clients in New York and across North America
- support professional engineering services during construction
- construction observation, review of submittals and shop drawings
- responses to request for information (RFIs) and permit closeouts
- review QA/QC submittal reviews and RFI response comments from junior staff
- liaise with Project Managers/Team Leaders and clients for effective communication
- exercise judgment on details of work and in making preliminary selections of engineering alternatives
- communication with varied stakeholders and collaboration with design disciplines
- play a vital role in Arcadis projects consisting of office and field work
- task management as a project resource to complete allocated activities
- contribute to the resolution of technical issues and provide technical guidance to other team members
- carry out investigations and analyses to support the development of technical solutions
- perform fieldwork activities such as site visits and construction inspection
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an appropriate area of engineering
- Minimum 4 years’ of experience in engineering AND EIT Certification
- Detail oriented and ability to provide technical guidance and work independently as needed
- Advanced research, data gathering, technical writing and analysis skills
- Developing skills including technical, project management, relationship management, sector expertise and commercial awareness
- Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, time management and communication skills
- New York PE License (Preferred)
