About the role

  • Delivering high performance materials and technologies for our performance categories
  • Validating technical knit and woven materials according to Design and RM Sourcing team’s seasonal briefs
  • Supporting textile developers with in-house material testing, tech packs, material status tracking
  • Building and maintaining tools and presentation documents to enhance team efficiency
  • Communicating RM suppliers on textile construction and finishing, as well as vendor capabilities
  • Initiating and driving material development handoffs to suppliers and quality partners
  • Ensuring new developments follow preferred material guidelines to meet sustainability targets

Requirements

  • 2 years of industry experience related to materials and trims
  • Degree or diploma in Materials Science, Textile Technology, Product or Textile Design, or equivalent industry experience
  • Working knowledge of the design and development process from inception through to final adoption
  • Extensive knowledge of trim materials and construction
  • Thorough understanding of trims and textile manufacturing, including dying, finishing, printing, molding, etc.
  • Previous materials laboratory testing experience
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple tasks within tight deadlines
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and PLM systems
  • Physical ability to handle small boxes and rolls of fabric, etc.
