About the role

  • As a Design Co-Op Student, you support in the creation and design of Women’s apparel product solutions that are in line with Arc’teryx design philosophies and our guests’ needs.
  • You bring your curiosity and passion for production to support the Women’s Design team in building innovative, relevant and resolved design solutions.
  • You work closely with designers and design developers, as well as cross-functional teams to bring designs and concepts to life.
  • Key areas of focus are trim and material boards, construction mock-ups, design research, tech pack building, and other design support

Requirements

  • You are in your fourth year of post-secondary study, in the field of Apparel Design
  • You are proficient with the Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, In Design, and Photoshop
  • You are skilled in CLO3D, or eager to learn
  • You can sew basic woven and knit garments, using an industrial single needle machine
  • You are an excellent team player, with the ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision towards a common goal
  • You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
  • You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
  • You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration
  • You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement
  • You seek the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right
  • Your passion for your work is paralleled by your passion for getting outside and living it
