About the role
- As a Design Co-Op Student, you support in the creation and design of Women’s apparel product solutions that are in line with Arc’teryx design philosophies and our guests’ needs.
- You bring your curiosity and passion for production to support the Women’s Design team in building innovative, relevant and resolved design solutions.
- You work closely with designers and design developers, as well as cross-functional teams to bring designs and concepts to life.
- Key areas of focus are trim and material boards, construction mock-ups, design research, tech pack building, and other design support
Requirements
- You are in your fourth year of post-secondary study, in the field of Apparel Design
- You are proficient with the Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, In Design, and Photoshop
- You are skilled in CLO3D, or eager to learn
- You can sew basic woven and knit garments, using an industrial single needle machine
- You are an excellent team player, with the ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision towards a common goal
- You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
- You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
- You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration
- You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement
- You seek the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right
