About the role

  • As the Retail Design Co-Op Student, you will play a key role in supporting the Retail Design team with our locations across North America.
  • This role requires a combination of design knowledge, technical skills, and the ability to work with various key stakeholders, including construction, external architects, contractors, and vendors.
  • In this position, you will gain a solid understanding of retail design and the processes required.
  • You will learn and/or use the following technology:
  • - AutoCAD
  • - SketchUp
  • - Smartsheet
  • - Microsoft Office
  • - Adobe Acrobat

Requirements

  • You are enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate studies in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field from an accredited university or college
  • You are highly proficient in CAD drafting using AutoCAD
  • You are proficient in Sketch Up
  • You are a strong team player with ability to work independently with minimum supervision and in a collaborative environment
  • You are driven to problem solve and open to learn
  • You have excellent verbal and visual communication skills
  • You have excellent ability to create, understand and translate three-dimensional concepts into drawings and design details
  • You are detail-oriented, organized, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
  • You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
  • You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration
  • You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement
  • You seek the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right
