About the role
- Provide expert guidance on complex accounting issues
- Ensure compliance with U.S. statutory accounting and other accounting principles applicable to the insurance industry
- Lead accounting research, develop and maintain policies
- Collaborate with departments across the business to support decision-making and continuous organizational improvement
- Build out best practices for process improvement and regulatory adherence
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with significant technical accounting expertise
- Deep knowledge of the insurance industry and statutory accounting principles
- Proficiency using FIS, Gain Compliance, and Excel reporting
- Ability to research, interpret, and apply complex accounting standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong collaboration skills and comfort working across multiple functions and seniority levels.
