About the role
- Provide outsourced CFO, Controller, Accounting Senior Manager, and advisory services to a diverse client base
- Manage a team of accountants and oversee relationships with clients, auditors, internal auditors, and other professionals
- Evaluate client accounting and finance processes and recommend project approaches and improvements
- Participate in engagement planning, budgeting, and definition of deliverables while managing controls and risk
- Manage month-end close process and prepare financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards
- Research technical accounting issues and formulate resolutions
- Create and manage project budgets, schedules, staffing, and ensure projects come in at or under budget
- Deliver client services including onsite and remote consultation, implementation of deliverables, training/workshops, and monthly billing
- Interact with other service line leaders to develop multi-focused solutions and participate in practice development
- Provide direction, training, coaching, performance reviews, and professional development oversight for staff
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in accounting or related field
- CPA certification
- 8+ years of relevant accounting, audit and/or financial statements experience
- Prior supervisory experience
- Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting
- Accounting back-office experience (preferred)
- Prior consulting experience in a similar firm/function (preferred)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Adobe, and timekeeping/scheduling/travel tools
- Intermediate or advanced experience with Sage Intacct, Restaurant 365, NetSuite, QuickBooks (preferred)
- Ability to manage multiple client files and deadlines, handle pressure, and travel if needed
- Must be available to work Eastern and/or Central time zones
