About the role
- Coordinate and oversee the delegation of daily warehouse assignments to team members, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
- Complete administrative duties accurately, including inventory logs, product transfers, adjustments, and assigning inventory bin locations within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Conduct and document physical inventory counts as required.
- Establish and maintain best warehouse practices, including proper inventory rotation and consolidation to optimize space utilization.
- Audit inventory replenishment transfers to ensure accurate fill rates and report discrepancies to the Warehouse Supervisor or Warehouse Manager.
- Oversee the loading, unloading, and transportation of products within the warehouse and across locations, including cross-warehouse inventory transfers as needed.
- Monitor warehouse security to safeguard merchandise and assets, utilizing best-practice loss prevention methods when applicable.
- Direct and enforce daily warehouse housekeeping practices, emphasizing cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety policies.
- Perform all Warehouse Associate functions as required to support operational needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2+ years of warehouse experience required; prior leadership or lead experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Strong understanding of inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment (forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain certification).
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office or similar systems).
- Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and all major events.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs. regularly (greater weight with assistance or equipment).
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures and conditions.
