About the role
- Responsible for overall accounting and financial operations of the Executive Learning Centre (ELC)
- Manage food cost and labor cost to budget in conjunction with Executive Chef
- Responsible for the management of all aspects of accounting including forecasts, cash handling, budgets, month end and year end P&L statements
- Work closely with General Manager, Director of Food Service, & Executive Chef regarding Costs, Labor forecasting and F&B Strategy
- Conduct training as needed and when required
- Fully understand Point of Sale (POS), OPERA Property Management System
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports for General Manager and Aramark, Schulich School of Business, and York University
Requirements
- At least 3 years of financial planning & analysis experience
- Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in finance, accounting, business or a related subject
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interact and effectively communicate to senior management and diverse teams
- Ability to coordinate a number of projects and prioritize accordingly
- Collaboration skills and the ability to influence and get results without formal authority
- Sound judgment and ability to learn quickly and adapt to new situations
- Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
