About the role
- Perform manual snow removal (shoveling) of main and secondary entrances on the camp
- Ensure walkways are cleared, stairs are de-iced, and roofs are maintained to prevent ice or snow falls
- Participate in additional tasks as needed (e.g., preparing facilities before a new group arrives, deep cleaning facilities, assisting other departments)
- Follow current cleaning protocols, including safety, chemical handling, and infection control
- Report any damage, plumbing issues, infestations, or repair needs to the supervisor
- Ensure compliance with Aramark policies and procedures
Requirements
- Must be adaptable and flexible
- Ability to perform physical work (bending, lifting, standing for long periods)
- Experience working in a remote camp setting is an asset
- Must be able to follow safety procedures and basic precautions due to physical hazards and exposure to hazardous chemicals
- Able to work independently with limited supervision
- Organized, courteous, personable, reliable, and able to work as part of a team
- WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) certification required
