About the role
- Provide administrative and programmatic support for a VA Research Office
- Support various research committees and initiatives
- Process research proposals involving the use of animal subjects and hazardous materials
- Review annual continuation requests and process approvals
- Coordinate communication between research committees
- Conduct database administration and project tracking
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s in related field such as health administration, public health, or biomedical sciences.
- 4+ years of relevant project management, research, and/or IRB experience in a healthcare environment
- Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Experience with VA/DoD and knowledge of military populations.
- Advanced knowledge of the scope and function of the IRB as well as the rules and regulations governing safety regulations and/or animal study research (e.g., VA, FDA, IRB, and GCP regulations)
