About the role

  • Provide administrative and programmatic support for a VA Research Office
  • Support various research committees and initiatives
  • Process research proposals involving the use of animal subjects and hazardous materials
  • Review annual continuation requests and process approvals
  • Coordinate communication between research committees
  • Conduct database administration and project tracking

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s in related field such as health administration, public health, or biomedical sciences.
  • 4+ years of relevant project management, research, and/or IRB experience in a healthcare environment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Experience with VA/DoD and knowledge of military populations.
  • Advanced knowledge of the scope and function of the IRB as well as the rules and regulations governing safety regulations and/or animal study research (e.g., VA, FDA, IRB, and GCP regulations)
