About the role

  • Supports Applied Material’s export compliance program with a primary focus on deemed export licensing and technology controls.
  • Prepare, draft, and submit deemed export license applications and related documentation.
  • Coordinate inputs with Engineering, R&D, HR, Legal, Security and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Track licensing status, timelines, and agency requests; manage follow-ups and maintain clear internal communication.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain Technology Control Plans for controlled technology and projects involving foreign national access.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent practical experience) in Supply Chain, International Business, Engineering, Legal Studies, or related field.
  • 2 – 4 years of experience in export compliance, trade compliance, HR compliance, security compliance, or related operational compliance role.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. export control concepts (e.g., EAR/ITAR fundamentals, controlled technology, foreign national access, recordkeeping).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Clear, professional communication skills (written and verbal) with comfort working cross-functionally.
