leverage strong foundation in physics, mathematics, and materials science to process and resolve mechanical problems
design and implement custom mechanical tooling and associated processes
enable handling, assembly, and disassembly of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies throughout the product life cycle
design, develop, and modify mechanical engineering layouts, schematics, and specifications
oversee manufacturing and installation processes; ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations
coordinate procurement and assembly of mechanical components and equipment for design projects

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree
Familiarity with the basic theories and concepts of mechanical engineering
1 year or more of related experience (preferred)
basic understanding of thermodynamics, sheet metal design, material selection, manufacturing methods, GD&T, flow analysis and/or Design for Excellence principles (preferred)
