About the role
- Travel to manufacturing facilities across the U.S. to perform on-site installations and integrations of automation systems
- Mechanically and electrically assemble, install, and commission industrial automation equipment
- Provide hands-on troubleshooting and technical support for automated systems, including mechanical, electrical, and software components
- Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to ensure successful system deployment
- Document service activities, installation procedures, and customer interactions
- Train customer personnel on system operation and basic maintenance
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service during all site visits
Requirements
- Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or related field is preferred; High School diploma or equivalent is required
- Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, sensors, actuators, and industrial control systems
- Ability to diagnose and resolve issues in complex automation systems
- Willingness and ability to travel 50–75% of the time
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver’s license
- 2+ years of experience in field service, automation integration, or industrial equipment installation (preferred)
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude; ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams
- Exposure to and interest in robotic & vision systems
- Knowledge of industrial networking and communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, etc.)
- OSHA safety training/certifications
