About the role

  • Travel to manufacturing facilities across the U.S. to perform on-site installations and integrations of automation systems
  • Mechanically and electrically assemble, install, and commission industrial automation equipment
  • Provide hands-on troubleshooting and technical support for automated systems, including mechanical, electrical, and software components
  • Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to ensure successful system deployment
  • Document service activities, installation procedures, and customer interactions
  • Train customer personnel on system operation and basic maintenance
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service during all site visits

Requirements

  • Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or related field is preferred; High School diploma or equivalent is required
  • Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, sensors, actuators, and industrial control systems
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve issues in complex automation systems
  • Willingness and ability to travel 50–75% of the time
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Valid driver’s license
  • 2+ years of experience in field service, automation integration, or industrial equipment installation (preferred)
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude; ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Exposure to and interest in robotic & vision systems
  • Knowledge of industrial networking and communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, etc.)
  • OSHA safety training/certifications
