General Manager

Director

• Manage the overall day-to-day operations and long-term profitability of a multi-million-dollar travel plaza.
• Lead the day-to-day activities of associates and plaza leadership to achieve or exceed targeted objectives.
• Monitor and analyze progress towards targeted financial and performance objectives then implement strategic changes.
• Ensure that each food and beverage concept within the plaza is adhering to required brand standards.
• Maintain an engaging work culture of continuous learning, information/skill sharing and professional development.
• Consistently recruit, develop, and retain strong teams to maintain appropriate staffing levels across the plaza.
• Responsible for the hiring, coaching, training, promotion, disciplinary action, termination, or transfer of plaza leadership.

• Help the General Manager to ensure that day-to-day business operations run smoothly
• Responsible for confidently delivering performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and clearly communicate business objectives
• Ensure the day-to-day supervision of non-management associates, assigning specified work, focusing on store level operation performance, coaching, and developing shifts supervisors
• Must be able to competently perform duties in the absence of the general manager
• Motivate and positively influence staff, especially during times of low morale
• Addressing issues in a timely fashion
• Ensuring company policies and procedures are followed
• Maintains an awareness of all applicable brand standards and all procedures and protocols to maximize brand/landlord/labor relations

Assistant General Manager

• This key role is responsible for performing store safety, security, and loss prevention audits; reviewing, analyzing, and responding to all loss prevention/operational deficiencies in order to protect the assets of the Company.
• Additionally, this position serves as a business partner to travel plaza management in helping to better secure company assets.
• Utilize exception-based reports to analyze financial reports and inventory systems data to ensure operational integrity, identify exception trends, minimize exposure, and identify training, development and loss prevention opportunities within the branch, hub, and region.
• Initiate, conduct, and manage internal investigations involving theft, fraud, substance abuse, etc.
• Conduct interviews to bring resolution to a successful close.
• Assist the Loss Prevention department in developing and implementing strategies, programs and training to reduce exposure as wells as, safeguard associates, customers, and other company assets.
• Execute periodic site visits to perform internal and external threat assessments, training, and investigations.
• Establish and nurture a collaborative relationship with Operations and Human Resources to uphold company policies.
• Act as a liaison with all local law enforcement officials to ensure appropriate coordination of investigations and/or prosecutions.
• Represent the company in court proceedings.

• Initiating, conducting, and managing internal investigations involving theft, fraud, substance abuse, etc.
• Conducting interviews to bring resolution to a successful close.
• Assisting the Loss Prevention department in developing and implementing strategies, programs and training to reduce exposure.
