About the role
- Create and implement uniform, multi-state safety policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical trades.
- Ensure total compliance with federal and state OSHA regulations, DOT requirements for the service fleet, and local trade-specific codes.
- Work with Claims department on root cause analysis (RCA) for all major accidents and "near misses," implementing corrective actions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related engineering field preferred.
- 4+ years of safety leadership experience, preferably in large-scale residential service, construction, or a multi-site utility environment preferred.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Health and Safety Technician (CHST) preferred.
- Deep knowledge of OSHA 1910 (General Industry) and 1926 (Construction), as well as NFPA electrical standards preferred.
