About the role
- Prepare a monthly schedule with Apartment Life supervisor to serve through events and programming for each community
- Plan and host 2 events each month to promote social engagement, wellness, health, enrichment, and stability
- Coordinate with corporate, government, and non-profit partners to deliver quality programs tailored to each community
- Coordinate or host resident workshops for adult and youth education
- Update and distribute a monthly list of helpful resources for rent assistance, food assistance, and other needs
- Meet with residents to assist with specific needs and connect them to local resources
- Personally oversee each activity and ensure they run as planned; steward relationships, budget, and access to clubrooms
- Partner with community businesses to provide holistic activities and communicate effectively with onsite staff and AL supervisor
- Meet virtually on a weekly basis with AL supervisor to discuss programs, goals, and service implementation
- Report activity and impact each month
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or related experience in event planning, social impact, or human services
- Experience serving at-risk populations preferred
- Excellent listening/communication skills (verbal and written)
- Bilingual Spanish helpful but not required; English proficiency required
- Ability to provide after-hours or weekend activities as needed
- Event planning and execution experience
- Basic computer skills such as email, creating resource documents, and completing monthly reports

- Be 18 years of age or older
- Be legally eligible to work in the United States
- Possess a current driver’s license and liability insurance, and access to a form of reliable transportation; driving between communities required
- Be physically able to use stairs, bend, sit, stand, stoop, carry up to 25 pounds
- Ability to pass a criminal background check in compliance with federal, state, and local law
- Be able to make the minimum term commitment of 2 years (for Onsite)
- Have access to their own computer for email communication, calendar creation, and reporting; a personal phone required for supervisor communication
- This is a part time, paid position.
- The coordinator will be paid to serve hourly at each community for 8 hours per week for a total of 16 hours per week.
