About the role

  • play a pivotal role in driving the both the operational delivery and transformation of procurement across New Zealand.
  • ensure consistent, efficient, and compliant practices, including optimal system configuration, while driving initiatives that enhance operational excellence and global synergies.
  • focus on continuous improvement and alignment with business objectives, working closely with Group Procurement colleagues as part of our Global procurement operating model to deliver best-in-class outcomes.

Requirements

  • Experienced leader with ability to build a high performing team, and trusting relationships across geographical regions.
  • Deep knowledge of procurement regulations, governance frameworks, and best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency
  • Proven ability to lead complex procurement transformation initiatives, including digitalisation and process optimisation
  • Experience with SAP Ariba and ServiceNow preferred.
  • Experience working with BS11 or similar regulatory frameworks is preferred, but not essential.
  • Proven ability to deliver vendor management for critical service lines in relation to procurement operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify risks, resolve operational issues, and drive data-informed decisions
  • Expertise in leveraging digital tools and emerging technologies such as automation and AI to enhance procurement performance
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills to engage senior stakeholders and articulate procurement strategies effectively, and oversee change management delivery.
