About the role
- Lead ANZ's operational environmental and greenhouse gas (GHG) reporting requirements
- Ensure ANZ meets obligations under the Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards (ASRS S2) and other relevant ESG frameworks.
- Collaborate with key suppliers to obtain accurate Scope 3 emissions data and manage third-party environmental reporting processes.
- Perform quantitative analysis, scenario modelling, and risk/opportunity assessments using internal and market data to inform decision-making.
- Partner with ANZ's Global Property Group to deliver environmental benefits across corporate offices, retail branches, and data centres.
- Prepare and deliver corporate environmental reports to satisfy ASRS S2 and other mandatory ESG disclosure frameworks.
- Track progress against ANZ's public Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions reduction targets and develop additional operational targets to align with ANZ's climate strategy and net-zero commitments.
- Manage supplier engagement processes to collect Scope 3 emissions data and ensure compliance with ANZ's environmental reporting standards.
- Undertake technical analysis and modelling to support ANZ's environmental and emissions reduction strategies.
- Collaborate with ESG Reporting and Climate Program teams to integrate operational data into Group-wide sustainability disclosures.
- Identify risks and opportunities related to climate and environmental performance and make recommendations to leadership.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of environmental sustainability and ESG reporting frameworks, including ASRS S2 and GHG Protocol.
- Technical expertise in emissions calculations, data modelling, and climate risk assessment.
- Experience in supplier engagement and third-party risk management for environmental reporting.
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
