About the role

  • Own EMEA Advocacy Execution
  • Execute the EMEA Developer Advocacy strategy in close alignment with the global DevRel team
  • Define, track, and report on KPIs for EMEA advocacy activities (community growth, engagement, content impact, and adoption signals)
  • Design and implement instrumentation to measure and communicate the impact of your work
  • Be a Public Technical Voice
  • Represent Ray and Anyscale across EMEA as a trusted technical advocate
  • Build a strong presence on X, LinkedIn, blogs, and other developer-facing platforms
  • Speak at meetups, conferences, hackathons, and customer events throughout the region
  • Tell Real Developer Stories
  • Partner with external Ray users to produce high-quality technical content, including engineering blogs, talks, and case studies
  • Showcase real-world use cases in AI infrastructure, ML platforms, LLM training, inference, and GenAI workflows
  • Build and Ship Technical Content
  • Collaborate with the Solutions and Engineering teams to build reference implementations, demos, and example applications
  • Stay hands-on with Ray and Anyscale products by writing code, reviewing architectures, and validating technical correctness
  • Grow the Ray Community in EMEA
  • Help nurture and expand Ray’s developer community across Slack, GitHub, discuss.ray.io, and other online channels
  • Engage directly with developers, startups, and enterprise users to gather feedback and surface insights to Engineering and Product
  • Lead Regional, In-Person Engagements
  • Plan and execute EMEA-focused meetups, workshops, hackathons, and regional conference presence
  • Travel regularly across EMEA to engage with users and developer communities (expected travel up to ~30%)

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in Developer Relations / Developer Advocacy, ideally for open-source or developer-first platforms
  • Strong technical background in distributed systems, data platforms, and machine learning
  • Hands-on software development experience, with the ability to build, assess, and explain real systems
  • Familiarity with modern AI workloads, including LLM training, inference, and GenAI pipelines
  • Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts through writing, speaking, and live demos
  • Comfortable operating independently while collaborating across global, distributed teams
  • Experience engaging developers across multiple countries and cultures in EMEA
