About the role

  • Design, develop, and maintain features of the Ally product
  • Communicate and partner cross-functionally with teams in product and software development
  • Work on an ethical product, using Scala for the backend and JavaScript for the frontend
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to advancing engineering best practices on the team
  • Work on a distributed team, collaborating with colleagues around the globe

Requirements

  • 5-7+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Frontend development experience in Angular/TypeScript
  • Familiarity with the full-cycle development process
  • Experience developing, building, testing, deploying, and operating applications
  • Experience working with cloud technologies
  • Experiencing mentoring junior engineers
  • Awareness of how distributed systems work
  • Experience with backend programming languages (e.g. Java, JavaScript, C#, Python, etc.)
  • Willingness to break things and make them work again
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
