About the role

  • Enable Internet businesses to sell across borders and automate sales tax compliance.
  • Lead the Infrastructure team to design, build, and operate systems supporting product and engineers.
  • Improve reliability, security, scalability, and performance of Anrok's infrastructure.
  • Set technical strategy and drive technical decisions to achieve it.
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams and cross-functionally to meet company goals.
  • Foster a collaborative and healthy culture of feedback, opportunity, and growth.
  • Hands-on participation in code reviews, technical design reviews, writing code, and execution.
  • Work directly with engineers to refactor and optimize application code for performance.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience as the manager or technical lead of an infrastructure team.
  • Managing cloud-deployed software at scale using config-as-code.
  • Operating relational databases and maintaining high availability.
  • Refactoring application code to better leverage infrastructure and optimize performance.
  • Security mindset and attention to edge cases.
  • Ability to set technical strategy, make tradeoffs, and drive technical decisions.
  • Experience mentoring and levelling up engineers.
