About the role
- Technical and commercial preparation of proposals and support in contract negotiations for large power plants and industrial facilities
- Analysis of contract and customer requirements and development of technical concepts with a focus on Mechanical Balance of Plant (BOP)
- Technical design and coordination of mechanical BOP systems (e.g., piping, auxiliary systems, cooling and drainage systems, compressed air)
- Creation of schematics using CAD NX
- Cost estimation of systems for proposal preparation
- Coordination of international sub-suppliers for mechanical power plant equipment
- Close cooperation with internal departments (Mechanical Design, Electrical Engineering, Construction, Project Management) as well as with the sales team
- Technical overall coordination in the tender process for large international projects
- Responsibility for schedule, quality, and cost within own area of responsibility
- Development and improvement of internal tools
Requirements
- Completed technical education in mechanical engineering, energy technology, process engineering, or a comparable field (HTL, University of Applied Sciences, Technical University/University or equivalent)
- Several years of experience in Mechanical Balance of Plant (BOP), preferably in power plant, industrial or plant engineering (hydropower experience advantageous but not required)
- Professional experience in plant engineering and sales is an advantage
- Experience with mechanical systems and components such as piping, valves, steel structures, pumps, cooling systems, auxiliaries
- Knowledge of international plant engineering and technical tendering is an advantage
- Very good MS Office skills; programming skills desirable
- CAD NX skills for creating schematics desirable
- Very good German and English skills; additional languages advantageous
- Strong customer orientation and persuasive presentation skills
