About the role

  • Develop and implement a long-term growth strategy for the North American SMART Product business
  • Support and, when necessary, lead sales efforts with detailed technical proposals and cost estimates
  • Provide the deep product expertise needed to lead the applications in core markets
  • Make strategic product decisions in collaboration with the Global Product Home and North American Pulp and Paper Colleagues
  • Lead a regional team of professionals and ensure they are motivated and trained
  • Participate in the development of operational budgets and monitor regional financial performance
  • Work closely with the Sales & Business Development team to define, develop, and execute sales growth strategies
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure business objectives are met
  • Maintain working relationships with all other directors to ensure effective coordination

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in chemical, process, electrical, or automation and control engineering or practical equivalent
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in process measurement and control, automation, and electrification
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in product management
  • Deep understanding of Pulp & Paper processes
  • Ability to mentor and lead a team of diverse, technical professionals
  • Strong business acumen and desire to develop sales
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Good command of English; knowledge of Portuguese and/or Spanish a plus
