About the role

  • Take overall responsibility for the strategic procurement of specific mechanical components and contribute directly to achieving our company goals
  • Develop and implement material group and supplier strategies that ensure cost optimization, quality and value creation
  • Lead projects independently, from analysis through implementation, and deliver measurable procurement results
  • Increase effectiveness and efficiency through automation, framework volume contracts and the use of eProcurement solutions and our Shared Service Center
  • Ensure material availability and on-time delivery across all project phases
  • Manage supplier relationships and risks across the entire supply chain
  • Work closely with project management, engineering and global SCM structures
  • Drive strategic sourcing, volume consolidation and continuous improvement
  • Manage contract negotiations and claims in coordination with Legal and project teams
  • Harmonize SCM processes across divisions and projects for consistency and scalability
  • Implement international best practices in strategic sourcing, supplier risk management and KPI-driven performance monitoring
  • Benchmark SCM performance against global standards and identify targeted improvement opportunities
  • Support the development of robust and agile supply networks that can respond to global disruptions and market dynamics

Requirements

  • Completed technical training, ideally followed by a degree (HTL, FH, TU)
  • Several years of experience in strategic procurement, ideally in the area of mechanical components
  • Solid experience in supply chain management, preferably in an international industrial environment
  • Project experience in plant engineering
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to align the supply chain with business objectives
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • Fluent German and English; additional languages are an advantage
  • SAP knowledge and experience with common SCM tools; advanced MS Office skills
  • Willingness to travel
  • Independent, careful and reliable working style
  • Analytical and entrepreneurial thinking and approach
  • Strong communication skills and a hands-on mentality
  • Team player with assertiveness
