About the role
- Reporting to the Area Manager/Regional Program Director, the CDL Program Director is responsible for providing leadership for the CDL Program.
- Actively participates in curriculum development, revision, and implementation processes.
- Responsible for hiring, assigning, orienting, developing, evaluating, and recognizing Driver Trainers.
- Convene meetings with Driver Trainers on a regular basis.
- Responsible for monitoring and supporting the trainee population.
- Plays an active role in the student advising process.
- Analyzes student population data and identifies students who may be at risk.
- Collects data for purposes of analyzing program performance.
- Engaged in the development and maintenance of the effectiveness plan of training delivery.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- CDL License.
- 3 years of experience in academic instruction in a post-secondary environment.
- 5 years of industry experience in the field of instruction.
- 2 years of experience in a management or supervisory role.
- Knowledge regarding faculty development, including requirements, delivery methods, and reporting.
- Ability to qualify as a CDL Driver / Driver Trainer.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and database programs (CampusVue preferred).
- Superior verbal and written communication skills.
- Interpersonal relationship skills necessary for positive interactions with students, alumni, faculty, and employers.
- Knowledge of the federal FMCSA, state, and local agency standards.
