About the role
- Support a dynamic federal government project as a Junior Tableau Administrator
- Monitor and optimize Tableau Server performance, license usage, and storage capacity
- Manage user provisioning, permissions, and access requests per governance standards
- Assist with server upgrades and validate functionality across Dev, Test, and Prod
- Troubleshoot dashboard and data source performance issues and escalate as needed
- Develop governance documentation, guides, and training content
- Conduct training and workshops on Tableau Desktop, Prep Builder, and dashboard design
- Foster a data-driven community by coordinating user groups and supporting content creation
- Work with U.S. government customers in health, civilian, and national security missions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 1+ year of hands-on experience supporting Tableau administration – managing users, permissions, sites, and projects
- Experience with Tableau Server administration tasks, including user/content management, server performance monitoring, and storage consumption
- 1+ year of experience developing Tableau dashboards and data sources
- Familiarity with Tableau commands, connecting to data, publishing content, and managing permissions
- Basic understanding of Tableau Prep Builder, dashboard performance optimizations, and design best practices
- Strong communication skills with the ability to train and support diverse user groups
- (Preferred) Tableau Server or Tableau Desktop certification
- (Preferred) Experience with data storytelling and dashboard design principles
- (Preferred) Familiarity with SQL, data modeling, or other BI tools
- (Preferred) Background in user enablement and training
