About the role
- Lead a team to produce technically sound engineering solutions
- Prepare and check designs, calculations, drawings, and documentation for scheme deliverables
- Oversee actions of junior staff undertaking similar tasks
- Manage commercial success of projects within portfolio, controlling budgets and costs
- Liaise with client and supplier representatives at peer level
- Contribute to bid preparation and work winning function
- Drive effective health and safety practices in the team
Requirements
- Developed experience and expertise within Highways/Civil engineering field
- Comprehensive knowledge of design processes and procedures relevant to the civil engineering discipline
- Ability to produce or oversee technically sound Highways engineering solutions
- Experience with health, safety, and welfare regulations (Construction (Design and Management) Regulations)
- Successful completion of the initial professional development leading to either Incorporated or Chartered status or equivalent
- Commitment to successful completion of professional review or end point assessment
- Bachelors or Masters degree in appropriate subject or equivalent further learning
- EngTech status is desirable
