About the role
- Work as a part of the Regional Structures Engineer (South) reviewing team across all 3 routes in the Southern Region (Kent, Sussex and Wessex).
- Support the CEFA Project Director, Engineering Assurance and Development and the Regional Structures Engineer by striving to apply a consistent and unified approach to reviewing in line with the technical specification and in the application of risk scoring.
- Ensure that all reports are reviewed and submitted to meet all technical and contract KPI requirements.
- Undertake ‘Supervising Engineer’ duties for both STE2 and STE4 competencies, as directed by the Regional Structures Engineer.
Requirements
- Expertise in Structures examinations and maintenance.
- Preferably STE2 competent.
- Previous experience of the review of completed examination reports i.e. Bridges, Retaining walls, Culverts, Tunnels and Ancillary structures etc, making engineering recommendations with the application of risk assessment.
- Chartered or Incorporated Civil or Structural Engineer – Desirable.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work in a small team, a dedicated approach to working within and meeting strict deadlines.
- Have a client focused approach to service delivery.
