About the role
- Producing technically sound engineering solutions
- Taking ownership and management of projects from start to finish
- Preparation of designs, calculations, drawings, and documentation
- Supporting and guiding junior members of staff
- Contributing to the professional development of junior staff
- Liaising with client and supplier representatives
- Working within locally based technical team
- Contributing to the preparation of bids
Requirements
- developing Engineer working towards Chartership or Incorporated status
- understanding of the DMRB and Eurocodes
- producing technically sound engineering solutions
- good working knowledge of relevant software and analytical tools (e.g., LUSAS, Autodesk Structural Bridge Design)
- strong critical thinking skills
- commercial awareness
- good understanding of CDM and risk assessment
- evidence in working toward Incorporated or Chartered status with the ICE or IStructE
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an appropriate subject
