About the role

  • Liaise with the SLEP Centre Supervisor / Equipment Sustainability Manager on the range of expected work
  • Identify any further work required on the equipment and liaise with the SLEP Centre Supervisor
  • Complete all related job and service documentation with accurate data and necessary signatures/documents from the customer
  • Repair, maintain, inspect and service Plant and HGV equipment and associate ancillaries
  • Maintain local stocks of spares, CES, ancillaries, attachments, and local technical documentation
  • Ensure that safe systems of work are adopted and company Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality policies are adhered to
  • Mentor WFA and MoD maintainers and users within limits of qualification, ability, and knowledge
  • Undertake out of hours duties including weekend work as required
  • Achieve local or team placed goals and KPI’s

Requirements

  • Full UK Driving License
  • City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent in mechanical engineering
  • Experience in diagnosis techniques
  • Working knowledge of Health & Safety, LOLER and PUWER regulations
  • Experience in construction related plant/MHE/HGV maintenance
  • No restrictions to gaining MoD security clearance
  • Ability in loading and unloading of equipment, tools, STTE and spares
  • Valid passport as potential for occasional travel to overseas locations
  • Able to maintain periods of intense workload
