About the role
- Oversee customer intake and service orders
- Maintain Customer Satisfaction scores at or above company standards
- Assist in diagnosing vehicle problems
- Assist technicians in ordering parts and tools as necessary
- Create and present estimates for repairs
- Assist in specialized reporting for clients
- Oversee administration of warranty claims
- Assist in coordinating 3rd party vendor services
- Oversee training and supervising of service department employees
- Schedule and assign tasks to service department employees
- Reinforce company policies and adhere to company standards
- Encourage compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Maintain good working relationship with client(s)
- Attend required manager meetings
- Maintain effective employee relations
- Interact with external vendors
- Manage technician productivity
- Take ownership of the customer's experience and carry out additional assignments to leave a positive impression
Requirements
- At least 3-5 years of experience in a service management or assistant service management role
- Previous Ford, Chrysler, GM dealership experience strongly preferred
- ASE Service Consultant (C1) certification preferred
- Must have computer proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word & Excel)
- Valid driver's license
- Good organizational and people skills
