About the role
- Assist the GM in ensuring an industry leading customer service experience by leading and coaching the sales team
- Ensure product availability and monitor and exceed food safety requirements
- Manage a small business and a high performing team, including team schedules
- Foster and encourage a positive environment that promotes teamwork, mutual respect and high performers
- Work with and support passionate and committed people; provide training as needed
- Help with local community events and donation of bread as part of the ‘End of Day Giving’ program
Requirements
- 1+ years’ supervisory experience in a similar role, ideally in the food service, hospitality or franchise industry
- Basic knowledge of financial management skills, including cash management and banking is an asset
- Exceptional interpersonal skills in building camaraderie amongst the team
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Proficient in MS Office Suite such as Outlook, Excel and Word
- A quick study, with a willingness to learn all operations within the bakery
- A capable people manager and leader with proven experience in recruitment and selection, retention, staff development and disciplinary and termination procedures
- A great communicator, problem solver and critical thinker
