- Evaluate the design and performance of advanced Information Technology-based systems
- Install, configure, and test server hardware (including CPUs, RAM, hard drives, and network cards) for our training simulator systems
- Assemble and install simulator components such as computer racks, computers, network infrastructure, and support systems—ensuring optimal airflow and effective cable management
- Assist with hardware upgrades, replacements, and repairs as needed
- Review and assess technical documentation to verify equipment suitability in system designs
- Create and update technical requirements, specify system components, and draft technical drawings using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools
- Coordinate and participate in system installation, interface testing, operational performance verification, troubleshooting, technical issue evaluations, and the preparation of technical reports and presentations
Requirements
- Eligible for SkillBridge Participation: Candidates must meet Department of Defense (DOD) SkillBridge eligibility guidelines.
- Military Service: Must have 180 days of military service or fewer remaining prior to your date of discharge and at least 180 continuous days of active military service.
- Must have approval from your unit commander to participate in SkillBridge.
- Security Clearance: Active Secret Clearance required.
- Availability: Must be available to complete the full internship duration (standard length: 180 days).
- Military Background: Preferred: Prior military experience in Information Technology (IT), Cryptologic System Maintenance, or related technical specialties.
- U.S. Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship Required.
