Conduct comprehensive network assessments at various sites across the country, including evaluating configurations of sensor devices (e.g., cameras, seismic) and existing network infrastructure.
Develop, design, and document detailed network engineering diagrams.
Collect and document critical network data such as hardware specifications, software versions, IP addresses, hostnames, operating system details, and interconnections between equipment within shelters and across interdependent sites.
Collaborate closely with IT teams to translate assessment findings into detailed "as-is" network architecture diagrams, enabling the design and implementation of modernized "to-be" Network architectures.
Support Configuration Management (CM) processes by working with the CM lead to develop Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Item Parts Lists (IPLs), and other documentation, while conducting Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs) post-implementation.
Travel frequently to remote sites to perform on-site evaluations, ensuring seamless integration with ongoing modernization efforts in partnership with Engineering, IT, and operational teams.
Contribute to enhancing field agent capabilities through the new Network, including automated firmware/software updates, sensor system scanning, and IP-addressable connectivity for modernized sensors.
Provide technical expertise to accelerate the 5-year enterprise network modernization process, transitioning from legacy disparate networks to a unified, well-documented architecture for sustained CM.
Demonstrate ability to quickly ramp up on program-specific technologies and processes, with strong problem-solving skills in complex, distributed network environments.
