About the role
- Ensures regular business alignment and prioritization of demand with resource and budgetary capacity
- Collaborates with cross functional teams
- Periodically reviews status of projects and makes adjustments as necessary
- Establishes, maintains, and provides management reporting using appropriate metrics
- Ensures effective communication with project sponsors, project managers, functional and resource managers, and other stakeholders
- Engages key stakeholders to evaluate proposed and ongoing projects based on value, risk, effort, cost and strategic alignment
- Provides formal training and support for project and portfolio management
- Develops and maintains governance tools, templates, guidelines, procedures and processes
- Leads with influence and expertise
- Actively contributes to division or department leadership team
- Communicates and supports organization mission, vision, values, policies, and practices
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service
- Extensive experience with project/program and portfolio management tools, methods and practices
- Demonstrated experience effectively communicating with senior leaders
- Demonstrated experience with budget, metrics and other operational analyses
- Solid knowledge and understanding of operational and strategic planning
