About the role

  • Lead seasonal assortment planning in partnership with Design and Sourcing
  • Make agile, customer-specific assortment adjustments to address gaps, trends, and retailer feedback
  • Partner closely with the Design team to translate seasonal concepts into commercially viable furniture assortments
  • Merchandise new product concepts supplied by overseas vendors based on seasonal design direction
  • Communicate product requirements and deliverables to our agent and vendor base
  • Negotiate Costing and MOQ with vendors for new designs
  • Review + action weekly Product Development trackers from overseas agents/vendors
  • Ensure packaging and product quality meet company standards
  • Monitor off-price market trends and competitive assortments
  • Lead the merchandising and preparation of the showroom for market weeks

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in product development and/or merchandising, preferably in furniture, home, or décor
  • Strong understanding of off-price retail and pricing strategies
  • Proven ability to balance design, cost, and speed to market
  • Excellent cross-functional communication and vendor management skills
  • Strong aesthetic sensibility aligned with the Jonathan Adler brand
