About the role
- Provide technical support for computer Distribution Management Systems (DMS) or Energy Management Systems (EMS) or Supervisory Control & Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems and other technical infrastructure used in Distribution/Transmission Operations centers.
- Maintain reliable operations of the DMS/EMS and SCADA systems.
- Improve and make recommendations to improve the quality and reliability of DMS/EMS and SCADA data and related services.
- Train lower-level Analysts in specific equipment and software support activities.
Requirements
- Education: Associates Degree or higher from an accredited college/university in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications or related Technical field; or high school diploma and two years related military or electric utility technical experience.
- Work Experience: Two (2) year DMS/EMS/SCADA experience with Associates Degree and four (4) years of experience with a high school diploma.
- Detailed knowledge is required in one (1) of the following areas: Application development, Operating System support, Computer system administration, Database technologies and support
- Four (4) years DMS/EMS/SCADA experience with Associates Degree and Six (6) years of experience with a high school diploma.
- Individuals with a Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of DMS/EMS/SCADA experience may be considered for entry into the organization at this level.
