About the role

  • Responsible for performing intermediate level engineering work activities and projects
  • Provides real-time reliability support within the ERCOT footprints
  • Engaged in daily tasks such as next day studies and weekly analysis
  • Participates in the 24x7 on call rotation
  • Develops operational emergency plans involving Blackstart and capacity deficiency

Requirements

  • Entry level position for new graduates with a bachelor’s degree in engineering accredited by ABET
  • Passing the Fundamentals of Engineering examination is encouraged and preferred
  • 2+ years of related engineering experience required for the Engineer role
  • Proficiency in power flow concepts and familiarity with tools such as PSS/E, MUST, and/or TARA preferred
  • Knowledge of short-circuit modeling software such as ASPEN/CAPE is preferred
  • Knowledge of AEP Transmission system topology (SPP/ERCOT) footprint is a plus.
