About the role
- Responsible for performing intermediate level engineering work activities and projects
- Provides real-time reliability support within the ERCOT footprints
- Engaged in daily tasks such as next day studies and weekly analysis
- Participates in the 24x7 on call rotation
- Develops operational emergency plans involving Blackstart and capacity deficiency
Requirements
- Entry level position for new graduates with a bachelor’s degree in engineering accredited by ABET
- Passing the Fundamentals of Engineering examination is encouraged and preferred
- 2+ years of related engineering experience required for the Engineer role
- Proficiency in power flow concepts and familiarity with tools such as PSS/E, MUST, and/or TARA preferred
- Knowledge of short-circuit modeling software such as ASPEN/CAPE is preferred
- Knowledge of AEP Transmission system topology (SPP/ERCOT) footprint is a plus.
