About the role

  • Assist with the maintenance and organization of the Lawmaker Profile Library
  • Support updates to the Cancer Action Day Toolkit to ensure accuracy and usability for advocates
  • Participate in and assist with planning sessions for state legislative campaigns
  • Develop materials and resources aimed at increasing the effectiveness of legislative campaigns
  • Collaborate with Senior Managers to provide operational support to state Grassroots Managers

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment
  • Familiarity with legislative or policy-related work is a plus
  • Experience with Every Action and Quorum is preferred but not required
  • Must be available for entirety of 8-week program: June 1st – July 24th, 2026, at 37.5 hours per week
  • Full-time student, if you are an undergraduate student, you have completed your freshman year of college
  • Have a minimum of a B average (cumulative 3.0 on 4.0 scale)
  • Plan to continue your education in the following term/semester
