About the role
- Qualifies new meetings through a detailed discovery process
- Serves as lead planner managing stakeholder collaboration, meeting design, logistics, budgeting
- Provides regular project updates, milestone tracking, risk assessment
- Oversees meeting services for assigned meetings including venue sourcing, site inspections, registration
- Provides onsite meetings/event support
- Tracks data, analyzes trends, collects feedback, recommends process improvements
- Maintains strong stakeholder relationships, manages inquiries, contributes to internal communications
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5 – 10 years in meeting and event planning
- CMP preferred
- Knowledge and understanding of GBTA’s Strategic Meetings Management components
- Knowledge of EIC’s Accepted Practices Guidelines for meeting planning
- Experienced in meetings management technologies (CVENT, Groupize, etc.)
- Strong negotiation and contract administration skills
- Professional presence to engage with executive level stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple simultaneous projects
- Strong financial acumen and cost control knowledge
- Proficient in Microsoft Office for planning and presentation needs.
